On average, most tattoos need 5 to 10 treatments for complete removal. Clients interested in lightening their tattoo for a cover-up may only need 3 to 4 treatments. Almost every client will need multiple treatments to remove the many layers of ink that make up a tattoo. During your complimentary consultation, we will assess your tattoo and determine the number of treatments you will need using a variety of factors, including:

  • Tattoo age
  • Tattoo size
  • Tattoo location
  • Ink density
  • Tattoo colors
  • Type of tattoo (professional vs. amateur)
  • Type of ink used
  • Pre-existing scarring
  • Patient health

The entire removal process is dependent on the number of treatments your unique tattoo is assigned. Treatments are spaced a minimum of 6 to 8 weeks apart to give your skin enough time to heal before undergoing another laser session. Our PicoStar® and EternityTSR lasers are designed to shatter more ink with each session, effectively speeding up the fading process and reducing the overall number of treatments needed.

Laser tattoo removal is commonly compared to a rubber band continuously snapping against the skin. Most clients find the procedure to be very tolerable, but a good handful of clients say it feels similar to getting a tattoo applied. Luckily, laser tattoo removal is much faster than tattoo application. Treatments are very quick and last anywhere from 1 to 15 minutes depending on the size of the tattoo being treated.

Precision Laser uses the Zimmer Cryo cooling machine to provide superior skin numbing before, during, and after your treatment. This advanced technology maximizes patient comfort and alleviates any pain associated with the laser.

Precision Laser provides per treatment pricing based on the size of the tattoo being treated. We also provide complimentary, obligation-free consultations for new and existing clients. Treatment packages and discounts are also available for purchase and are designed to save you more

Clients may experience temporary swelling, redness, blistering, scabbing, and pigmentation changes immediately following treatment. As long as clients follow proper aftercare instructions, their skin will experience excellent results.
